**Job Summary**:
GCI Construction Group has a vacancy for a Concrete Finisher with experience in concrete finishing and decorative concrete with experience in walkways and curbs, slabs, driveways, and specialty projects in commercial and residential construction.

**Duties and responsibilities may include some or all of the following**:

- Casting in place concrete finishing of residential and commercial projects;
- Custom forming of retaining walls, slabs, curbs, pool decks, patios, walkways, steps, front porches, and sidewalks;
- Concrete cutting and coring;
- Mixing cement, sand, and water to produce concrete, grout, or slurry, using hoe, trowel, tamper, scraper, or concrete-mixing machine;
- Inspecting completed work to ensure proper installation;
- Excavating and removal;
- Packing gravel base, tying wire mesh, installing rebar and sono tubes;
- Setting the forms that hold concrete to the desired pitch and depth, and align them;
- Spreading, levelling, and smoothing concrete, using rake, shovel, hand or power trowel, hand or power screed, and float;
- Smoothing concrete top surface of freshly poured concrete of floors, walls, ceilings or sidewalks according to grade and depth specifications; and
- Power washing and sealing.

**Qualifications**:

- Minimum 3-5 years' experience in concrete finishing and **decorative stamping**;
- Experience in decorative concrete stamping and construction;
- Valid G Class Driver’s License (preferred);
- Ability to lift, carry, or shovel objects weighing up to 50 pounds;
- Must be able to work long hours outside in all weather conditions, including seasonally in hot temperatures;
- Support and takes direction / instructions from foreman / supervisor and carry out on site tasks;
- Ensure safety is a top priority and adheres to and follow all rules and regulations;
- Ability to work individually as well as part of a team;
- Ability to perform physical labour requiring continual and repetitive use of large motor skills to stand, walk, sit, bend, stoop, crawl, crouch, shovel, push, pull, twist, turn, stretch, and reach; and
- Use of bobcat is an asset.
