About the role:
**Responsibilities**:

- Take ownership for efficiently leading the entire completion of complex bid processes
- Interpret client contracts and analyze complex drawings and specifications including architectural, mechanical, and electrical drawings
- Assemble accurate, well-organized estimates on time following proper processes and procedures with materials and equipment required for job completion
- Support databases including labour rates, material pricing, and project costs
- Distribute sub-trade quotes to personnel
- Coordinate with project managers, operations, as well as other project team members to resolve any technical issues throughout the planning and development, negotiation, and execution of contracts
- Continue to monitor project success throughout, noting potential challenges
- Flag areas of concern and coordinate with management to accommodate any risk within the bid price
- Build relationships with sub-trades and clients for future opportunities
- Scheduling and attending job showings, site visits, and client meetings as required
- Participate in presentation of estimates/proposals to senior management
- Other duties as assigned

Profile Requirements:
Experience, Skills & Competencies
- Proven experience (2-3 years) in estimating or a related field within the construction industry.
- Estimating experience in the construction sector is considered an asset.
- Experience within the abatement and demolition industry is considered an asset.
- Proficient ability to understand tender specifications and documentation to prepare estimates that properly reflect scope of work.
- Experience with different estimation software is considered an asset.
- Ability to successfully manage multiple tasks and re-prioritize as necessary.
- Strong analytical, problem solving, and time management.
- Ability to work as part of a team and independently.
- Professional manner and excellent communication interpersonal skills to bridge gaps and build relationships with various internal and external stakeholders.
- Proficient English-language skills.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Valid Canadian residency and/or work permit.

Physical Requirements:
Mainly an office position with extended periods of sitting.

Site visits requiring standing/walking with use of required personal protective equipment.

Pay: $75,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
