**Community Support Worker (Casual) - Richmond, BC**
Working in one of our four Adult Day Programs (LIFE) in an on-call basis, this role
supports individuals with developmental disabilities to experience improved quality
of life, social inclusion, and achieve individual goals.
**YOUR IMPACT**:
- Provide direct staff support for individuals with developmental disabilities,
- including people with complex and/or challenging behaviour or support needs.- Establish respectful relationships with individuals which promote their dignity
- and well-being.- Support individuals to achieve goals based on their own choice, beliefs and
- desires.- Encourage individuals to build connections; to live self-determined lives in the
community surrounded by friends and family.
**YOUR CAPABILITIES**:
- Relevant post-secondary education in related field and at least six months
experience supporting people with developmental disabilities in a similar
environment.
- Current CPR and First Aid Certification.
- Clear, current Criminal Records Check.
- Valid BC Driver’s License, Class 4 Preferred.
- Demonstrated commitment to diversity and inclusion.
- Effective interpersonal skills with the ability to interact at all levels of an
- organization.- Reliable problem solving, critical thinking and communication skills.
