Tour Block Coordinator

Purpose
This position is responsible for maintaining all group reservations and files, promoting and following-up on all aspects of Two-day and Three-day rail bookings for group travel. The position works closely with our tour operator partners, specifically their operational teams, updating bookings, clarifying manifests and responding to tour director inquiries. This position is also responsible for liaising with the Rail Inventory team, and assisting with Package Group bookings as required.
Key Areas of Accountability
- Process bookings efficiently, accurately and in a timely manner including inputting manifests, adjusting bookings, confirming bookings, sending documents and other travel information to escorted groups, invoicing, ensuring quality control and maintaining all group block space.
- Maintain account records, itineraries and waitlists accurately,
- Update and maintain operational procedures in the Tour Block Manual.
- Ability to meet targets and deadlines, including responding to all internal and external requests.
- Build and maintain ongoing business relationship with Business Development Manager/Outside Sales to provide timely support and other tasks
- Assist in maximizing sales and minimizing costs.
- Maintains high standards of professionalism in developing relationships with all clients.
- Assist the Manager, Product Inventory as required.
**Qualifications**:
Education / Certifications / Knowledge
- Minimum 2 years post-secondary education preferably in Business Management or Travel/Tourism
- Experience and knowledge of travel reservations systems
- Experience and knowledge of the tour group operations
**Skills**:
- Knowledge or experience with a computerized reservations information system
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Efficient and accurate data entry skills
- Able to work effectively with all levels of the organization

Work Environment
- Hybrid role
Compensation
The base salary offered for this role is $51,400 to $57,800 per annum and can vary based on job-related expertise, qualifications, experience and internal equity.
