**Bravo Target Safety** is looking for an experienced, career-minded, **Turnaround Safety Advisor **to join our team for the turnaround season (approximately 1-2 months). This position will be based in the **Edmonton area. **The Safety Advisor, under the direction of the Project Manager, will primarily be responsible for facilitating the development, implementation, and maintenance of the client and Bravo Target Safety’s Occupational Health and Safety policies and programs. This position works closely with all levels of employees to ensure consistent promotion and utilization of safe work practices.
**Job Duties**:
- Facilitate and contribute to the development, implementation, communication, and maintenance of all Workplace Health and Safety policies and programs
- Ensure the assigned client or Bravo Target Safety LP remains compliant with all relevant Health and Safety Legislation / Regulations and by-laws
- Participate in the identification, evaluation, control, and management of hazards and risks throughout the organization
- Partake consistent promotion and utilization of safe work practices
- Advise on safety standards, regulations, and legislation
- Update, maintain and deliver safety orientation, on-going training, and awareness programs for all employees
- Engage in the investigation of workers' concerns and complaints with respect to Health and Safety issues while maintaining the employee's right to confidentiality
- Conduct incident investigations and develop recommendations to prevent future occurrences
- Contribute to emergency planning initiatives
- Maintain and update health and safety records and reports
- Produce and communicate health and safety reports on a regular basis
- Promote the health, safety, and well-being of all employees
- Verify appropriate first-aid supplies are maintained and ordered, as required
- Liaise with management and outside regulatory agencies, as required
- Other duties as assigned
**Requirements**:
- Demonstrate leadership in all aspects of the job
- Strong written, communication, organizational, and time management skills
- Willing to travel out of town for work
- Capacity to work in a fast-paced, team environment with a wide variety of people
- Ability to pass Drug and Alcohol testing
- National Construction Safety Officer (NCSO) designation an asset
- 3 years experience in field industrial construction or related projects
- Clean Class 5 Driver’s License
- Standard First Aid with CPR/AED Level A or C
- Common Safety Orientation (CSO)
- H2S Alive
- Job-Specific Requirements considered assets (ATV Training, Fall Protection Training, Confined Space Training, etc.)
**Job Types**: Full-time, Seasonal
Pay: From $35.00 per hour
