**Job Details**
CARFAX Canada has recently launched the first and only AI produced valuation output that utilizes historical vehicle elements to create a VIN specific vehicle valuation. We are looking to add a Junior Data Scientist to help our team with data processing, cleaning, and analysis. This individual will also help to monitor and evaluate the performance of developed models to ensure both accuracy and efficiency.

**Position Responsibilities**
- Collect and analyze large datasets using various data analysis techniques.
- Clean, validate, and preprocess raw data to ensure its quality and consistency for further analysis.
- Conduct exploratory data analysis (EDA): Use various statistical techniques to summarize and visualize data to identify trends, patterns, and relationships.
- Develop and maintain predictive models and algorithms using machine learning techniques.
- Identify key patterns and insights in data to inform business decisions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement data-driven solutions.
- Create data visualizations and dashboards to communicate findings to stakeholders.
- Continuously improve data models and algorithms to improve accuracy and efficiency.
- Stay up to date with the latest developments in data science and machine learning.

**Education and Experience Required**:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, or related field
- 2 years of experience in data analysis and machine learning modelling
- Proficiency in data wrangling using SQL, Pandas, or other Python/R packages.
- Experience with machine learning packages such as Sklearn, LightGBM.
- Strong understanding of statistical analysis and machine learning algorithms
- Familiarity with data visualization tools such as PowerBI
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Demonstrate familiarity with popular deep learning libraries and frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch or Keras.
- Great team player with the ability to complete effective work individually, when needed
