**Overview**
We are currently looking for a Community support worker to assist 54-year-old male with mental/physical disabilities, at home and in the community.

**Responsibilities will include (but may not be limited to)**:

- Plan, organize and execute activities in the community.
- Provide personal care including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting,etc.
- Assist with activities of daily living, including walking support
- Assist with meal preparation, ensuring nutritional needs are met while accommodating dietary restrictions.
- Help with household tasks such as a light cleaning and laundry to maintain safe living environment.

**Qualification /Requirements**:

- Fluent in spoken and written English
- Grade 12 education
- Calm and outgoing demeanor
- Experience/education working with individuals living with disabilities
- Excellent relations and good decision-making skills
- First Aid Certificate
- Criminal Record Check (vulnerable sector)
- BC driver's license with acceptable abstract
- Own safe, reliable vehicle required
- Must be physically fit

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: Up to $27.46 per hour

Expected hours: 15 - 20 per week

Flexible language requirement:

- French not required

Schedule:

- Day shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Maple Ridge, BC V2W 1R7: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Education**:

- Secondary School (preferred)

**Experience**:

- support worker: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Class 5 Licence (required)
- First Aid Certification., Criminal Records Check, (preferred)

Work Location: In person

Expected start date: 2025-02-17
