Pilates Instructor

_**Quiet Bodies is a Pilates and Movement studio located in Port Credit. We offer Group Classes and Private Sessions and strive to create a welcoming and empowering environment for our clients while helping them get stronger, more flexible and live happier healthier lives.**_

Our Pilates studio is unique in that all of our group classes are mat based but we also include other movement modalities such as _Strength Training, Mobility, Cardio/HIIT, Kettlebells, and Circuit Training incorporating Pilates apparatus (Reformer and Tower.)_ Our clients are very diverse in that they range in age from 18 to the oldest partipant being in their 70's. We invite folks of all shapes and sizes to participate in our classes and we create a space where we emphasize getting stronger, more flexible and having fun and do not include any toxic/assumed weight loss/diet culture into our cues, marketing or classes. QB is all about having a good time.

**Qualifications**:

- Certified Pilates - minimum Mat, Reformer and Cadillac/Tower with an interest in both Classical/Traditional Pilates and Contemporary styles.
- Personal Training
- Group Fitness Training
- CPR A
- Pre/Post Natal

**Skills**:

- The ability to teach effective, fun multi-level group classes.
- Well versed in Anatomy and bio-mechanics and feel comfortable modifying for clients with injuries or special considerations.
- Program and track progress for 1:1 clients which may include seeing clients with minor special considerations and injuries.
- Organized, responsible and punctual
- Dynamic energy in front of groups
- The ability to program the following class styles (training and frameworks will be provided) Foundational Strength Training, Classical Pilates, Circuit Classes, HIIT/Cardio Classes - modifying as needed for low impact and Mobility.
- Create experiences (including playlists) that align with the specific class style you are teaching.
- You feel comfortable teaching people in larger bodies or are open to learning how to modify movements and cues to accommodate a variety of body types.
- You feel comfortable modifying for Pre-Natal women in your group classes or are open to learning how to modify for Pre-Natal women in your classes.

The best fit is someone who thrives in a small boutique Pilates studio. You will work with groups of 12 participants, who come in multiple times a week. Quiet Bodies is a place where you can really get to know your clients, help them progress, learn a lot and have fun while doing it. On-going mentorship and training are part of our flow, so if you love to learn and improve your craft as a teacher, QB will be an excellent fit for you.
