Accounts Receivable Clerk

Reporting to the Credit Manager, the « Accounts Receivables Clerk» has the following main responsibilities.
- Daily data entry of payment receipts
- Post payments timely and in accordance with company processes
- Identify overpayments and refunds
- Reconcile and balance multi company payment batches on a daily basis
- Scan daily cheque deposits to bank and save copies to company database
- Occasional trips to the bank to deposit cheques that can not be scanned (car required)
- Research unapplied/unidentified payments
- Identify issues and escalate in timely manner
- Process intercompany accounting offsets
- Prepare management reports on A/R performance and status. (Excel and Word)
- Process credit check investigation at the time of opening of new client’s accounts and periodic credit limit revisions
- Reception replacement (during breaks, lunch, vacation & sick days of main receptionist)
- Answer & accurately redirect incoming calls to proper extension or department, based on accurate assessment of caller requests
- Welcome and greet clients and other business partners on visits
- Maintain visitor security procedures (guest logs, visitor badges, etc.)
- Receive, validate, process (when needed) and dispatch daily incoming mail and other documents
- Forward electronically received fax transmissions to the proper department or individuals
- Preparation of daily outgoing mail and courier packages
- Assist the Credit Manager & team members, as required
- General office and administrative work, as required

- Language requirements: Fluently bilingual in English and French and basic writing skills
- Minimum of 1-2 years experience in similar position and environment with reception and administrative duties
- Minimum Education level: High school diploma required
**Working Conditions**:

- Hours are from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm
