Capilano Highway Services (CHS) is a leading highway maintenance and construction company with offices in Sechelt, Powell River and West Vancouver. In collaboration with our trusted partner companies, we manage and maintain over 1,000 kilometers of some of the South Coast’s most vital traffic corridors. These include the Sunshine Coast Highway, Golden Ears Way in Langley and Maple Ridge, the Trans-Canada Highway from Vancouver to West Vancouver, and the Sea to Sky Highway, stretching from Horseshoe Bay to Duffey Lake in Pemberton. Our diverse client base spans from small private entities to large government organizations, such as the Ministry of Transportation and Transit, providing us with an exciting variety of projects that involve unique challenges and specifications.

**Job Summary**

We are looking for someone who is a well-organized, enthusiastic, detail-oriented individual. As a crucial part of our team, you'll be one of the first points of contact for our valued customers, so excellent communication and interpersonal skills are a must. Your role will blend administrative duties with payroll responsibilities, ensuring everything runs smoothly in a dynamic, ever-evolving industry. We’re seeking someone who can bring a high level of professionalism, organization, and energy to our team.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Payroll_
- Manage employee timecards, ensuring accuracy and timely processing
- Input timecards into the payroll database and process premiums based on hours worked
- Process and manage leave requests for employees
- Determine overtime parameters based on the employee agreement
- Process and Submit Payroll
- Administrative_
- Answer phone calls from the public, accurately recording their reports and inquiries
- Process and file CVIP inspections for mechanics
- Support AP with posting Invoices
- Sort and distribute incoming mail and courier packages
- Handle office supply ordering and inventory management
- Photocopy, scan, and file documents

**What We Are Looking For**
- Minimum of 2 years experience in an administrative role
- Post‐secondary education in business administration or a related field
- Experience in Construction or Highway Maintenance is a bonus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel
- Knowledge of employment standards, including hours of work and overtime regulations
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Impeccable organizational skills with the ability to multi‐task
- A proactive team player with a growth mindset, eager to contribute and develop alongside the team

**Schedule**:

- Monday to Friday
- 8-hour shift

**Experience**:

- Office Admin: 1 year (required)
- Payroll: 1 year (preferred)

Pay: $45,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
