Working at the Inuulitsivik Health Center (IHC) means being part of a dedicated team that is committed to improving the health, well-being, and living conditions of Inuit communities through accessible and integrated services. IHC employs over 1,100 staff members and is part of the Quebec health and social services network, in the Nunavik region. It provides health and social services to a population of 8,000 people across the 7 communities of Hudson Bay, from Kuujjuarapik to Salluit. IHC also manages Ullivik, a service located in Dorval, which aims to house Inuit people traveling south to receive specialized care.
**Employment Conditions - Human Relations Officer - Application of Measures - Northern Region**
Salaries:
- Human relations officers, psychoeducators, social workers, criminologists, and sexologists: between $29.50 and $52.28 per hour, depending on experience

**Available Opportunities - Human Relations Officer - Application of Measures - Northern Region**
- Full-time permanent position - 9 weeks in the north, 4 weeks in the south
**Main Responsibilities - Human Relations Officer - Application of Measures - Northern Region**
- Clinical activities under the Youth Protection Act
- Interventions to support youth and families to end compromising situations
- Implementation of protection measures ordered by the court, as well as voluntary measures agreements
- Collaboration with various community partners and resources
- Design and update of intervention plans and life projects
- Crisis intervention
- Psychosocial emergency care
- Writing progress notes and reports for child situation reviews
- Preparation of voluntary measures and presentation of cases to the court
- Collaboration and interventions upon request for other Youth Protection services (LSJPA, Adoption, RTS, Evaluation-Orientation)
**Requirements - Employment Conditions - Human Relations Officer - Application of Measures - Northern Region**
- Bilingual (French, English). Inuktitut is an asset
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- Theoretical and practical knowledge of the Youth Protection Act and protection concepts
Academic Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, psychoeducation, criminology, or sexology
Essential Skills and Abilities:
- Flexibility, open-mindedness, adaptability, autonomy, good analytical and adaptation skills
- Recognition and respect for Inuit culture and values, and the ability to work in a multicultural team
- Respect for confidentiality and the ability to work under pressure in emergency and crisis situations
Current employees in the health and social services network can request a Nordic leave of absence (up to 48 months) to work in Nunavik.
