We are looking to hire a **Retail Store Associate **at our Burnaby (Douglas Rd) location through the support of the Canada Summer Jobs Program. **This is a full time summer contract position of 12 weeks and would be ideal for a student.**

**Eligibility Requirements under the Canada Summer Jobs Program**
- Must be 18 - 30 years of age
- Must be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or a person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of employment
- Must have a Social Insurance Number

Working at a Habitat for Humanity Restore you will have a role in helping hardworking families break the cycle of poverty through home ownership. The Restore retail stores are a social enterprise that help cover Habitat’s overhead costs so donations can go directly toward helping more families achieve home ownership.

**Job Summary**
- Full time, weekdays and weekends required
- Assist customers with purchases and questions
- Spend long periods of time on your feet
- Ability to multi-task
- Prices new and used items and moves them from the receiving area to the sales floor
- Assists in unloading the ReStore trucks and large corporate donations
- Moderate to heavy repetitive lifting required (50+lbs)

**Education and Experience**
- Experience in a retail environment is an asset
- English is required both spoken and written
