Cloud Technology Specialist

**What you will be doing**:

- **Design, implement, and manage secure, scalable, and cost-effective cloud solutions.**:

- **Collaborate with internal teams to migrate on-premise systems to the cloud and optimize existing cloud environments.**:

- **Ensure efficient utilization of cloud resources, including resource utilization and costs.**:

- **Monitor cloud-based systems to ensure high availability and performance, troubleshooting issues as they arise.**:

- **Automate key workflows and processes to enhance operational efficiency.**:

- **Coordinate with internal IT team to schedule and perform patch and vulnerability management activities for all servers and infrastructure.**:

- **Maintain reports, logs, and records of security audits, ensuring ongoing compliance and readiness.**:

- **Provide support for audit-related inquiries, including preparing documentation and ensuring compliance with relevant standards.**:

- **Support business continuity planning with robust disaster recovery and backup solutions.**:

- **Work closely with business units to align IT solutions with business needs.**:

- **Collaborate with IT team members and other departments to support IT projects and initiatives.**:

- **Document system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps to facilitate knowledge sharing and ensure continuity of operations.**:

- **Stay informed on emerging cloud technologies, trends, and best practices.**:
**What you bring to the team**:

- **Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science (or related field) and a minimum of three (3) years of directly relevant experience in cloud technology.**:

- **Experience with Microsoft Azure is required. Experience with other cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud) is considered an asset.**:

- **Microsoft certification in Azure cloud technologies is considered an asset (e.g., AZ900, AZ700, AZ305, or SC300).**:

- **Strong understanding of cloud architecture, networking, and security principles.**:

- **Knowledge of cloud security best practices, particularly in a regulated industry.**:

- **Proficiency in automation and scripting tools (e.g., Python, PowerShell).**:

- **Knowledge of data integration and APIs to connect cloud systems with third-party solutions.**:

- **Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail and ability to work independently in a small team environment.**:

- **Strong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to effectively explain technical concepts to non-technical users.**:

- **Strong customer service orientation and ability to train end-users effectively.**:

- **Ability to effectively prioritize tasks and manage time to meet deadlines.**:
**How you will succeed**:
**In the first year, success will be measured by the ability to optimize cloud performance, automate key workflows, and enhance system reliability to support core insurance operations. Achieving measurable cost savings and compliance with industry regulations will also be key indicators of success.**:
