You will perform the lead role in negotiating contracts for funding and service levels, reviewing and monitoring contracts for service quality, developing and approving new resources, managing service requests and ensuring crisis response systems and resources are available.Key responsibilities:Consulting with Facilitators about support requests, service availability, and resource suitability Conducting on-site monitoring reviews (homes, staffed residential facilities, programs, etc.) and investigating competency and service issuesWorking with the Facilitator in assisting individuals and their families who are experiencing a crisisRecruiting and developing new service relationshipsDeveloping service contracts or agreements and negotiating the costing details and quantitiesNegotiating contract costing and advising on requirements for corrective action in contracted service deliveryEnsuring service collaboration and developing cost-sharing agreementsLiaising with key staff regarding current funding limitations or delays, and participating as a team member in local budget managementReviewing financial reports to ensure delivery of services for approved funding supportsWhat you will bring:Preference will be given to candidates with a Bachelor's degree in Business, Social Work, or a related disciplineExperience working in the social services sector in areas such as resource development or contract managementAn equivalent combination of relevant education/experience may be consideredWe are also looking for:Strong written and oral communication skills, presentation skills, and interpersonal skillsExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to resolve conflicts with a wide range of stakeholders and contribute to the resolution of urgent situationsAbility to manage finances, budgets or other resourcesAbility to manage multiple priorities/projects and produce results within deadlinesAbility to develop and enhance service networks, including colleagues, service providers and community membersAbility to effectively represent CLBC in the community, exercising tact and diplomacy Ability to wBenefits: A rewarding career at CLBC comes with great benefits, including:Employer-paid extended health and dental planA BC Public Service Pension plan with employer contributionsGenerous vacation plus additional personal daysPaid maternity/parental/adoption leaveLife insurance, paid sick days, and, if needed, long-term disabilityWellness supports, including an Employee and Family Assistance ProgramProfessional development funds and resources to encourage continuous learning and skill developmentAccess to government discounts on travel, cell phones, and moreAdditional InfoOccasional overnight travel may be requiredPossession of a Class 5 driver's license and a clean driver's abstract is requiredSuccessful applicants are subject to a Criminal Record CheckAn eligibility list for internal candidates may be establishedClosing date: December 18, 2025If your application is shortlisted, you'll be invited to an interview where you'll have the opportunity to share more about your experience.
