Title: DataStage Unix Administration Location: Toronto, Ontario Duration: 06 Months Required Skills & Qualifications Proficiency in IBM Infosphere DataStage for ETL development. Strong understanding of SQL and experience with relational databases like Oracle. Deep understanding of ETL concepts, data warehousing principles, and data integration best practices. Experience with UNIX/Linux operating systems, including scripting (e.g., Unix Shell Scripting). Familiarity with data modeling concepts and techniques. Experience working in agile environments and potentially with DevOps practices. Preferred Skills & Qualifications Experience with C#, .NET Core, Web API, Angular/React, ASP.NET, MVC. Experience using SQL Server/Oracle/Sybase, complex procedures, and SSIS. Experience working with DevOps, source code management tools like Git, Jira, Jenkins. Familiarity with container-based technologies like Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, and cloud platforms. Experience setting applications in Linux/Windows, IIS/Nginx. Experience with APAC Regulatory Reporting. Strong technical analytical skills to solve complex problems. Strategic thinker with excellent interpersonal skills to work across functions and businesses. Day-to-Day Responsibilities Develop and implement ETL solutions using DataStage to extract, transform, and load data from various sources. Focus on data warehousing and data integration projects to ensure data consistency and availability for business intelligence and analytics. Optimize the performance of ETL processes to meet business requirements and ensure efficient data processing. Participate in the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and potentially work within agile frameworks. Collaborate with business analysts, data architects, and other developers to understand requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.
