Our client in Markham Ontario who is a large lighting manufacturer is looking for a Business Development Representative to join their team This position features: Base salary: $40,000/year-$60,000/year. OTE- $65k (if they hit all of their targets)Benefits: · $2000 a year healthcare spending account· Quarterly bonuses · 3 weeks vacation · 5 personal days· 3 sick daysHours: Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:30pm. Fully on site Employment Type: Full time permanent Responsibilities: Lead Qualification and Conversion:·Qualify incoming leads from marketing and inbound channels and convert them into sales opportunities through proactive outreach.Account Management for House and Dormant Accounts:·Manage and grow existing house accounts; re-engage dormant customers and identify new opportunities.Prospecting and Cold Outreach:·Conduct outbound prospecting (phone, email, etc.) to generate new business.Pipeline Management:·Track all leads, opportunities, and customer interactions in the CRM system with timely follow-ups.Opportunity Escalation:·Identify complex or high-value opportunities and escalate to Sales Managers or Field Sales as needed.Collaboration with Sales Team:·Align with Sales Managers and Field Reps on account strategies and pipeline development.CRM Utilization:·Maintain accurate CRM records for all lead interactions, account activities, and sales progress.Customer Relationship Building:·Build strong relationships with prospects and customers by understanding needs and offering relevant solutions.Market and Product Knowledge:·Stay current on products and industry trends to communicate value effectively and drive interest.Requirements:·Junior role with 1-5 years of exp in business development or inside sales. Someone that is a hunter, driven and polished. Previous experience in inside sales/account mgmt. within lighting or custom product manufacturing industries is an asset but is open to any industry· Familiarity with CRM best practices· Bachelor’s degree in Business, Architecture, Design, Engineering, or related field · Proven track record of managing complex customer relationships· Polished and presentable · Excellent communication skills · Eager to learn & grow
