Responsibilities What your day will look likeTechnical & Project ManagementTrain and mentor staff on Hazardous Materials AssessmentsEstablish and maintain standard protocols and reporting standards for Hazardous Materials AssessmentsTechnical review and risk management for hazardous materials assessment and management projects.Manage and coordinate projects and technical studies for a variety of environmental assignmentsPrepare and present reports and proposalsDirect and instruct project team members including natural scientists, engineers, planners, technologists and technical support staffEnhance client relationships and develop new business opportunities with both public and private sector clientsLearning & DevelopmentCommit to self-development and ongoing learning to stay knowledgeable of industry best practices and advancements in hazardous materials management and occupational health and safety.Contribute to Dillon's corporate profile through active participation in professional associations and committees.Contribute to the career advancement of junior staff, including technical direction, training recommendations, coaching and mentoring. Qualifications What you will need to succeedDegree in Occupational Health and Safety, Hazardous Materials Management, Environmental or related disciplines.Minimum 10 years’ demonstrable experience conducting all aspects of hazardous materials work, and in particular large scale complex asbestos survey and abatement projects for industry and government clients.Enthusiastic and positive attitude and commitment to technical excellenceStrong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills. Must be able to read, comprehend and proof-read written reports and correspondence.
