About the Role Reporting to the Senior Manager, Finance, the Senior Accountant will engage on complex transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, financial investments and other growth initiatives for our global business, focusing on the technical accounting aspects as part of a collaborative team of accounting professionals. The candidate will be closely involved in the preparation, analysis and presentation of the TSX and NYSE listed financial statements for the Brookfield Renewable Energy Group (BEP and BEPC). Key Responsibilities Connect with professionals from our global regional platforms to provide support and oversight for growth initiatives; Assist in researching and drafting position papers on transactions initiated from our corporate platform; Participate in the valuations for M&A and other investments; Perform analysis under IFRS 9, IFRS 15 and IFRS 16 for various agreements; Maintain internal controls related to the above functions to ensure a SOX compliant close process; Coordinate quarter and year-end audit support and work with the independent auditors to address queries; Provide support to the Senior Manager for ad-hoc requests.
