Our client is seeking an experienced Intermediate to Senior Manual M365 QA Tester to support a major Microsoft 365 Modernization Project within a large Canadian enterprise. This fully remote role is ideal for a detail oriented QA professional with strong hands on experience across Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Exchange Online, and the broader O365 suite. The successful candidate will play a key role in validating new features, workflows, and configurations, developing and executing comprehensive test plans, and ensuring high quality user experiences across multiple environments. You will collaborate closely with Business Analysts, Developers, Product Owners, and Project Managers, contribute to structured QA processes, participate in sprint ceremonies or formal reviews, and provide subject matter insight to ensure test coverage aligns with best practices. Candidates with strong documentation abilities, proven defect tracking experience, and a solid understanding of enterprise QA methodologies will excel in this role. Experience within Government of Canada environments and familiarity with Azure DevOps or JIRA are valuable assets. If you are an experienced M365 QA Tester looking to support an impactful digital transformation initiative, we would be pleased to connect with you.*** 4 month contract to start, with potential 12 month extension ****** Remote position ****** Candidates must be eligible to obtain the Government of Canada Reliability clearance ***Advantages•Flexibility: Enjoy a balanced schedule and the ability to work from anywhere while meeting project goals.•Collaboration: Engage with diverse teams and experts across the organization on a major M365 transformation.Responsibilities•Develop detailed test plans, test cases, and test scenarios aligned with project requirements and established QA standards.•Execute manual testing activities for Microsoft 365 applications, including Teams, SharePoint Online, Exchange Online, OneDrive, and related configurations or customizations.•Perform functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing across multiple environments.•Identify, document, and track defects using approved test management and issue tracking tools, ensuring clear communication and follow through until resolution.•Work closely with Business Analysts, Developers, Product Owners, and Project Managers to clarify requirements and validate expected outcomes.•Review solution designs and technical documentation to understand new features, workflows, and system impacts prior to testing.•Prepare test evidence, validation documentation, and test reports to support change management processes.•Participate in sprint ceremonies when working in Agile environments or structured gate reviews when following Waterfall methodologies.•Provide subject matter insight on M365 capabilities to help ensure test coverage is complete and aligned with best practices.•Contribute to the development and refinement of quality assurance standards, processes, templates, and documentation as needed.QualificationsRequired Skills and Experience•Minimum 5 years of experience as a Manual QA Tester, with at least 3 years focused on testing within the Microsoft 365 environment.•Strong practical knowledge of:oSharePoint Online (sites, libraries, permissions, workflows, metadata).oMicrosoft Teams (channels, collaboration features, meeting and chat integrations).oO365 Applications (OneDrive, Exchange Online, Power Platform basics, admin/settings familiarity).•Experience designing and executing detailed manual test scripts for complex business workflows.•Demonstrated ability to identify defects, articulate issues, and collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.•Strong understanding of QA methodologies, software development lifecycles, and change management practices.•Experience testing in large, structured enterprise environments.•Strong documentation skills with exceptional attention to detail.•Ability to work both independently and as part of a cross-functional team.Nice-to-Have Skills•Previous experience working within the Government of Canada, particularly in IT modernization or digital workplace projects.•Familiarity with GC security requirements and the use of departmental SDLC processes.•Experience with Azure DevOps, JIRA, or similar test management and defect tracking tools.•Understanding of Power Automate flows and their impact on business processes.•Knowledge of accessibility considerations in Microsoft 365 environments.SummaryIf you're interested in learning more please submit your résumé and one of our senior Recruiters would be happy to give you a call to discuss further.Randstad Canada is committed to fostering a workforce reflective of all peoples of Canada.
