Panel Quilter

Operates a multi-needle quilting machine and other equipment in order to efficiently produce quilted mattress panels per quality and quantity requirements, and with the least amount of waste. The operation of machines include such duties as material loading, pattern selections, and minor machine maintenance.1. Loads/reloads fabric on quilting machine as well as polyurethane foam rolls onto quilting machine.2. Loads/reloads thread, thread machine and bobbins, adjusts needle positioning and patter as needed.3. Loads/reloads backing onto quilting machine.4. Measures and sets panel cutting blades and adjusts panel cutting machine as needed.5. Operates multi-needle quilting machine to produce quilted mattress panels.Monitors machine (visual and audio) and makes adjustments as needed in order to prevent skipping and/or creating scrap.6. Measures and inspects finished panel.Repairs defective panels using a straight stitch sewing machine and/or other established processes.7. Operates quilting machine, including computer related to quilting function and performs job tasks according to established safety and efficiency procedures, including minor maintenance on machines as required.8. Maintains workstation in a neat, clean and orderly fashion, and performs job duties in a safe and efficient manner.9. Documents transition lengths.10. Walks to storage areas and returns with materials as needed.11. Performs related duties as assigned.12. Complete all required paperwork for production, quality and waste.13. Complete daily TPM maintenance.14. Maintain hourly production rate.RequirementsAbility to read, write and understand EnglishBasic Math skills and attention to detail are requiredProduction line experience helpful, but not requiredAptitude for computersAbility to lift up to 50 pounds, repetitively, in a safe manner.Punctuality and attendance is a must.
