If you were working for us as an Assistant Manager of Resident Care, here are some of the things you would have done last week:Led by example, consistently practicing the Mission, Vision & Values of our homeActively supported the home’s Strategic Direction, promoting goals, objectives, and a “Partners in Care” approachAdvocated for Residents’ Rights and upheld Resident-centered care standardsAssisted with hiring, onboarding, performance management, and education for nursing staffWorked with the Resident Care Team to develop the philosophy, goals, policies, and standards of the nursing departmentSupported Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) initiatives and acted on opportunities to enhance careHelped to develop and review staffing patterns to align with Residents’ needsEnsured performance appraisals were completed and feedback processes were in placeFostered clear, effective communication across the department and the homeSupported staff orientation, continuing education, and research initiativesCollaborated with internal and external care partners to strengthen servicesStayed current with nursing best practices, trends, and compliance requirementsAssisted in managing the financial nursing budget effectivelyWorked as a multi-disciplinary team leader, guiding with integrity, flexibility, and enthusiasmTook on other leadership responsibilities as directed by the Manager of Resident Care or Administrator Ready to lead, care, and grow in a home where every day matters? When you apply, if you have your registration in good standing with the CNO, we will try our best to reach out to you within the week (hopefully within a few days). While we don't take ourselves seriously, we take our jobs seriously and love to have fun with each other and the Residents#SRINDEXQualificationsTo be hired into this role, you must have:Required Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) with a current certification with the CNORequired at least 1 year in Long Term Care and 3 years of experience in a healthcare managerial or managerial capacity, preferably in Long Term Care settingRequired demonstration of leadership and communication skillsPreferred Post-RN education in Adult Training or 3 years’ relevant experience in adult trainingPreferred specialized training in Infection Control, Quality Management, or Wound Care is preferredEquivalent combinations of education, training, and experience will be consideredVulnerable Sector Screening (VSS) check completed within the past 6 monthsTB 2 Step updated within the last year
