Job DescriptionTHE POSITION: The Manager, HEOR will lead multi-disciplinary research teams and provide HEOR expertise and strategic leadership at all stages of projects from planning to communication.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:The Manager, HEOR will lead multi-disciplinary research teams and provide HEOR expertise and strategic leadership at all stages of projects from planning to communication.Project-relatedExecute projects that exceed client expectations while remaining on-time, on-budgetDetermine and manage project scope, timelines, budget for several competing projectsDevelop and review materials for accuracy, consistency, quality, and conformity to EVERSANA standardsProactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plansDelegating activities to and supervising junior staff and contractorsOverseeing/implementing quality control activitiesMethodological-relatedProvide leadership to ensure projects are underpinned by strong and defendable HEOR concepts and methodsEnsure projects adhere to high standards of pharmacoeconomic analysis and health technology assessmentClient-relatedBuild relationships with clients that result in ongoing business opportunitiesDevelop and maintain strong business relationships with clientsIdentify and communicate opportunities for future collaborationsCompany-relatedDevelop proposals, budgets, and timelinesPromote a positive and energetic work environment through healthy and effective communication, a strong work ethic, and professional conductIdentify and develop best practices and tools for project execution and managementContribute to decisions regarding company direction and growth, staffing of projects, and project workloadDemonstrate a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion through continuous development, modeling inclusive behaviors, and proactively managing bias.All other duties as assigned.PEOPLE LEADERPeople leaders must possess both the skills to effectively accomplish these tasks and the emotional intelligence to do so in alignment with our cultural values. In addition to the critical management and leadership tasks listed above, this role also includes the following unique responsibilities:Develop and communicate company policies and standard operating proceduresFacilitate and participate in team-based and independent trainingProvide mentorship, guidance to junior staffEXPECTATIONS OF THE JOB:Travel: Some travel may be required for meeting with clients, stakeholders, or off-site personnel/managementHours: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week. QualificationsMINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:The requirements listed below are representative of the experience, education, knowledge, skill and/or abilities required.Education: MSc in a Life Science discipline, Epidemiology, Health Economics or related fieldExperience and/or Training:A minimum of three (3) years’ direct work experience in health economics, health technology assessment, or a related fieldStrong basis in cost-effectiveness model design, analysis, and interpretation.Experience with HTA submissionsDeep understanding of Microsoft Word, Excel, EndNote, and PowerPoint (familiarity with R or DistillerSR an asset)Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, demands, and timelines in a fast-paced environmentProven ability to manage personal and project team members’ time across competing projectsProven ability to identify and respond to different communication and work styles of team members and other stakeholdersDemonstrated leadership, teambuilding, and team-motivating skillsDemonstrated planning and decision-making skillsStrong strategic, problem solving, and analytical abilitiesProven relationship-building capabilities; developing and maintaining strong client relationships, effectively interacting with peersStrong critical thinking, analytical, problem-solving, and multitasking capabilitiesAbility to effectively interact and communicate with peers, senior management, and clientsStrong written, oral, interpersonal, and presentation communication skillsAbility to work independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environmentPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:Technology/Equipment:Experience in model programming in VBA preferred PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS AND WORKING ENVIRONMENT:The physical and mental requirements along with the work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an individual encounters while performing the essential functions of this position.Office: While performing the essential functions of this job the employee is frequently required to reach, grasp, stand and/or sit for long periods of time (up to 90% of the shift), walk, talk and hear; occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
