As part of our team, you'll contribute to sustaining this safety-first environment, where speaking up and driving positive change are not just encouraged but expected.Key Responsibilities Reporting to the Mine Operations Shift Supervisor, Haul Truck Operators are accountable for the following: Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and proceduresOperate haul trucks ranging in size from 180 ton to 240-ton capacity on a 12-hour shift, including night shiftsWork and operate outdoors in all weather conditions, including rain, fog, and winter conditionsPerform repetitive tasks that could involve heavy liftingInspect equipment, such as tires, fluids, lights, brakes, to ensure equipment is fully functional and safe for operatingCommunicate with dispatch, other operators, and supervisors using communication devices such as two-way radio and on-board computers Qualifications Completion of grade 12 or equivalent Valid driver’s licenseAbility to work in a high performance, fast-paced team environmentAbility to adapt to and work effectively within a constantly changing environmentStrong Organization skillsPrevious heavy equipment operation, industrial experience, or computer literacy is considered beneficialWhy Join Us?
