On the grounds of the Toronto Pearson Airport.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Provides HR Generalist support to the Toronto client groups and their staff by providing and managing all HR programsActs as a HR business partner to client group by developing and implementing HR strategies; assists with re-organizations and restructuring strategiesProvides full-cycle talent support; provides performance planning and performance management supportEducates managers on HR policy and compliance requirements along with interpretation of the collective agreement of all of the unitsManages employee relations issues; manages retention strategy and termination process, including exit interviewsHandles all legal compliance and litigation issues, interfaces with legal teamResponsible for implementing training initiatives (e.g. competency training, setting goals and objectives)Advises managers and employees on immigration issues including visas, permanent residence processes and company policy; coordinates work visa sponsorship and ensures maintenance of proper work authorizationsConducts new hire orientation and provides on-boarding supportAssists managers with drafting position approval requests, salary adjustment requests and supporting documents for approvalEnsures all HR best practices, procedures are followedLeads the Absence Case Management process regarding employee’s sick leaves and Worker’s Compensation issuesStrong administrative skills are requiredSome data entry into our HRIS system (Workday) is required for any employee changes and new hire entry for our unionized workforceEducation:Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university required.
