As a Controls Designer at Brave, you will work in a team to develop and design automation solutions for manufacturing processes in various industries.Your responsibilities include: Prepare controls designs according to customer specifications and process requirementsCreation of panel external and internal layouts and best practicesCreate template pages and standards for new designsSupervise the installation and build of equipment to ensure they align with design specificationsProvide a BOM for Panel and field componentsWork with industry partners to determine hardware purchasing lead times Must have: Post secondary diploma or degree in related field (equivalent experience will be considered)5+ years of controls design experience using AutoCAD and/or EPLANFamiliarity with JIC and IEC layouts and symbolsStrong attention to detailExperience designing with different Network Architectures (Ethernet/ProfiNET, IOLink, DeviceNET/Profibus etc.)Willing and able to travel to customer facilities (USA, Mexico, Canada)Willingness to work overtime if needed during installation and to meet tight deadlinesExcellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.Ability to work well with others Nice to have: Experience with higher amperage cabinets >100AExperience in pneumatic, hydraulic, water and/or lubrication circuitsExperience in designing cable tray layouts and cell/machine cabling/groundingFamiliarity in macros and scripts used to aid in automating design tasks – ie batch renaming text across a print set, purging a set, etc
