Position Overview:Merchandising Execution Project Associates (MEPA) will support in store activities perform in-store merchandising service activities such as merchandising projects, planogram maintenance, overhead organization, and display/signage maintenance designed to enhance the customer experience. They are primarily assigned to projects and must ensure they are executed safely, accurately, and efficiently and will execute general bay service when project work is not available or as assigned by the MET supervisor. The MEPA works with on-site supervision, and provide service to multiple departments in the stores. The MEPA must be capable of executing directives from merchandising execution team supervisor (MET supervisor), district execution managers (DEM), and support store leadership.The MEPA must build and maintain strong relationships with store associates and provide superior customer service to both internal and external customers. The MEPA typically works weekdays mornings.Key Responsibilities:Plan and Execute ProjectsPlan the execution of merchandising projects working with store leadership and MET Supervisor.Plan for the time and number of associates needed for project and work with MET Supervisor for approvalRead and interpret directions to ensure merchandise is set to the planogram, project instructions and general service guidelines.Ensure beam Elevation changes are compliant to set standards.Build displays and fixtures using basic hand toolsMaintain, order, and install display material/signage/brochuresProvide regular updates on project status to MET Supervisor.Report deficiencies in Compass to cross functional teams to ensure quick resolution to deficiencies.Capture correct hours worked in CompassMerchandising: General Service, Tasking, and PackdownRead and interpret directions to ensure merchandise is set to the planogram, project instructions, program service requirements and general service guidelinesStraighten, clean and merchandise product to ensure merchandise is presented in a visually appealing mannerMaintain copy of most recent planogram inside upright beam adjacent to product setFollow directions and processes to conduct accurate price and label changes. Replace incorrect, damaged, or missing price labels.Maintain aisleUtilize store systems to access key merchandising reports. Read, interpret, and execute action based on findings.Maintain bay service records and other documentation as directed.Execute one off projects as required by store, district, and regional leadership.Customer ServiceMaintain aisle cleanliness so that merchandise is accessible and customers are able to move throughout the aisles easilyAnswer questions regarding the store and products for the customers.Partner with store associates to find necessary products to fit the customer's needs.OtherPartner with store representative to conduct inspections of returned and damaged items for Return to Vendor.Follow standard operating and safety procedures.Complete assigned training curriculumOther duties as assignedCompetencies:Action OrientedCollaboratesCommunicates EffectivelyCustomer FocusDecision QualitySkills:Basic computer skills with knowledge of web based applications. Ensures tasks are completed on time, without error, and meet quality standards.Strong organizational and time management skills and ability to manage numerous projects simultaneously.Direct Manager/Direct Reports:Reports to Merchandising Execution Team SupervisorTravel Requirements:No travel requirements for this rolePhysical Requirements:Bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, lifting, pushing, pulling, and moving itemsWorking Conditions:Working within a set schedule that typically starts early in the morningWarehouse environment that can be dusty and noisyDoors are frequently open, causing drafts and interior temperature changesMinimum Education:GEDHighschool Diploma or EquivalentMinimum Years of Work Experience:1 year of relevant working experienceMinimum Leadership Experience:N/ACertifications:N/AOther Requirements/Assets:Experience in SAP – Score platform preferred.
