Job Summary Come work as a Groundskeeper/Maintenance Worker with Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH)Vancouver Coastal Health is looking for a Groundskeeper/Maintenance Worker to join the Plant Maintenance team at Sechelt Hospital in Sechelt, BC.As a Groundskeeper/Maintenance Worker at VCH you will perform duties related to the routine maintenance of grounds, equipment and the exterior and interior of the building.ABOUT SECHELT, BCThe District Municipality of Sechelt is located on the lower Sunshine Coast of British Columbia, approximately 50 km northwest of Vancouver. Sechelt Hospital provides a full range of services to the community, including Emergency care, Renal program – community dialysis units, Mental Health and Substance Use Services, surgical services, birthing for low-risk pregnancies and imaging services. Qualifications Education & ExperienceGrade 10, plus one years’ recent, related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.Valid Class 5 vehicle license if applicable.Knowledge, Skills & AbilitiesAbility to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.Ability to deal with others effectively.Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.Ability to organize work.Ability to operate related equipment.
