Senior Product Manager, Hybrid Cloud, Smart Infrastructure

Job DescriptionWhat’s the Opportunity?As a Senior Product Manager in the Hybrid Cloud, Smart Infrastructure team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping RBC's hybrid cloud strategy and delivering innovative infrastructure solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Cloud Engineering, Security, and Operations, to ensure the seamless delivery of scalable, secure, and efficient cloud services. Your leadership will drive the adoption of hybrid cloud technologies, enabling RBC to meet its business objectives while maintaining operational excellence.What will you do?Product Strategy and Roadmap:Define and execute the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for hybrid cloud infrastructure.Align product goals with RBC's broader cloud strategy and organizational objectives.Prioritize features and initiatives based on customer needs, business impact, and technical feasibility.Stakeholder Collaboration:Act as the primary liaison between technical teams (Cloud Engineering, Security, Operations) and business stakeholders.Lead discovery sessions to gather customer requirements and collaborating with Engineering Leads to ensure alignment with technical deliverables.Facilitate cross-team collaboration to address dependencies and unblock issues.Delivery and Execution:Oversee the end-to-end delivery of hybrid cloud solutions, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.Manage the product backlog, epics, and user stories in collaboration with Scrum Masters and Agile teams.Build and implement product adoption and performance monitors, to enable data driven decision makingBuild and implement product adoption and performance monitors, to enable data driven decision makingInnovation and Continuous Improvement:Identify opportunities to enhance the usability, stability, and security of hybrid cloud platforms.Drive the adoption of best practices in cloud-native engineering, DevOps, and infrastructure automation.Stay abreast of emerging technologies and trends in hybrid cloud and smart infrastructure.Operational Excellence:Ensure operational readiness by defining SLIs, SLOs, and incident management processes.Collaborate with Cloud Operations and SRE teams to maintain platform reliability and scalability.Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, including user guides and runbooks.What do you need to succeed?Must have:Proven experience in product management, with a focus on cloud infrastructure, platforms, or related domains.Strong understanding of Software Development and Delivery cycles, with experience in hybrid cloud technologies, including Kubernetes, OpenShift, and Azure/AWS platforms.Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe) and Agile practices, including; backlog management, estimation, sprint planningExcellent communication and stakeholder management skills.Ability to analyze complex technical and business problems and deliver innovative solutions.Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).Nice to have:Hands-on experience as a software developer or architect in cloud-native environments.Knowledge of security and compliance frameworks for cloud platforms.Experience with cost management and optimization in cloud environments.Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools (e.g., Splunk, Dynatrace).Background in financial services or other highly regulated industries.Certifications in cloud technologies (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert).What’s in it for you?We thrive on the challenge to be our best, progressive thinking to keep growing, and working together to deliver trusted advice to help our clients thrive and communities prosper.
