Job Summary: We are seeking a mid-level Java Developer to join our analytics-focused team. This hands-on technical consulting role involves collaborating with business analysts, data scientists, and other developers to deliver impactful analytics solutions. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing backend services using Java and Python, maintaining Tableau dashboards, optimizing SQL queries, and contributing to new analytics initiatives. Strong communication skills and the ability to explain complex solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences are essential. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain backend analytics solutions using Java (Spring framework preferred) and Python. Integrate Java and Python components with analytics tools such as Tableau, SQL databases, and Jupyter notebooks. Optimize and troubleshoot Java and Python code supporting analytics projects. Develop and update Tableau workbooks or similar data visualization tools. Write and optimize complex SQL queries for analytics deliverables. Support new analytics initiatives utilizing Java, Python, or Scala. Provide occasional assistance with Dataiku-related client issues. Collaborate with business analysts and data scientists to translate requirements into solutions. Present complex analytical outcomes to technical and non-technical stakeholders. Adapt quickly to evolving tools, frameworks, and technologies. Required Skills: Minimum 3 years of technical experience, with strong proficiency in SQL and Java. Hands-on experience in Java development (Spring framework preferred). Proficiency in Python, preferably in analytics or data science contexts. Strong SQL query development and optimization skills. Experience integrating Java/Python within analytics workflows. Experience using Tableau or similar visualization platforms. Familiarity with AI coding assistants (e.g., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT). Strong Linux command line skills. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and teamwork abilities. Preferred Skills: Experience with Jupyter Notebooks. Exposure to Dataiku. Knowledge of Spark, Hadoop, and Scala. Experience in developing statistical models or algorithms. Familiarity with Git and Jira. Understanding of machine learning techniques. Knowledge of financial market data or wealth management analytics. Education: No minimum education requirement; relevant technical experience is prioritized. Education: Bachelors Degree
