The Catalyst is a not-for-profit corporation owned and operated by Toronto Metropolitan University and based in Brampton, ON. Hybrid work schedule with expectations of weekly days in the Brampton offices. The Opportunity Rogers Cybersecure Catalyst is looking for a Director of Strategic Partnerships to join the team and lead the Catalyst’s fundraising efforts through partnerships and sponsorships, identifying private sector and philanthropic partnership opportunities and other vehicles for strategic investment and program enhancement. In this role, you will oversee the building and maintaining of relationships with partners, maximizing the inherent potential in those relationships and establishing new opportunities. As the Director, you will oversee the implementation of community activities as they relate to community building, revenue generation and pursuing partnership opportunities for the Catalyst and will work closely with University Advancement, building alignment with institutional objectives.Key Responsibilities: Raising funds through partnerships and sponsorships by identifying private sector partnership and philanthropic opportunities and other vehicles for strategic investment and program enhancement.Managing specific funding proposals and relationships. Makes day-to-day operational decisions against an established plan.Leading the implementation of community and program participation activities as they relate to revenue generation and further partnership opportunities for the Catalyst.Managing and supervising staff, assigns and prioritizes tasks, establishes goals. QualificationsTo help us learn more about you, please provide a cover letter and resume describing how you meet the following required qualifications:Completion of a post-secondary degree in a related field.A minimum of 7 years of progressively responsible experience in fundraising and partnership management, preferably in an educational environment.Experience in community engagement.Demonstrated ability to identify and implement partnership, sponsorship and funding strategic planning and solicitation strategies.Knowledge of donor motivation and recognition strategies, identification, recruitment, management and training of volunteers.Prospect identification skills, knowledge of research methodology and skills in the evaluation, rating and moves management of prospects.Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.Demonstrated writing skills, specifically in the area of proposal writing.Exceptional interpersonal/social interaction skills.Strong communication (oral and written) skills.Knowledge of computers and various software application packages (e.g. Word, Excel, Access, Microsoft Project, e-mail, PowerPoint, Google Apps, etc.).Organizational and analytical skills.Creativity and imagination.Equivalent experience or a combination of equivalent experience and education may be accepted in place of education.
