Main responsibilities : Deliver high-pressure cylinders, liquid gas containers and industrial non-gas products to customers. Load and unload cylinders, count and record cylinder quantities and styles of each product to verify that the load matches the shipping documents. Ensure load identification plates comply with TDG regulations. Complete all shipping documents. Produce end-of-tour, fuel expense and other requested reports. Perform pre-trip and return vehicle inspections, and report/explain defects to supervisor. Ensure that vehicles are in good working order, have them repaired or overhauled, and keep downtime to a minimum. QualificationsRequired qualifications Education High school diploma or equivalent experience Experience 36 months experience as a prerequisite for selection for commercial vehicle drivers; 24 months of relevant driving experience within the previous 5 years with equipment of similar size and type to that which the driver will be operating; No incidents equivalent to a "preventable" level 1 or 2 vehicle incident in the last 24 months; Road test to verify the defensive and safe driving skills of commercial vehicle drivers; Medical confirmation of fitness for commercial vehicle drivers. Relevant product knowledge and experience preferred  Mechanical aptitude; Knowledge of compressed gases and safe gas handling; Valid DZ/Class 3 or AZ/Class 1 (as applicable) driver's license with air brake endorsement; Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) and Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) training; Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) training; Knowledge of vehicle maintenance; Knowledge of on-board computer; Ability to use a smart phone. Physical and sensory requirements: Able to exert maximum muscular force to lift or carry objects weighing up to 23 kg (50 lb); Able to exert maximum muscular strength to push or pull objects weighing up to 454 kg (1000 lb), with the aid of a wheeled cart; Able to perform physical tasks requiring considerable use of arms and legs and movement of the whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping and handling materials weighing up to 23 kg (50 lb); Able to use abdominal and lower back muscles to support a body part repeatedly or continuously over time to accomplish specific maintenance tasks; Able to perform tasks in confined spaces or in uncomfortable positions; Able to spend long periods in a seated position while driving.
