This is a great opportunity for someone who’s not afraid to roll up their sleeves and do what needs to be done to make a significant contribution in positioning a forward-thinking company to the next level of achievement. We are seeking a skilled and experienced Cross Border Dispatcher to join our team. As a City/Highway Dispatcher, you will be responsible for overseeing the operations of a fleet of vehicles, ensuring timely delivery of goods or services.Hours of Work:Monday to Friday, 10:00pm–6:00pmInclude any flexibility or predictability (“consistent schedule,” “rotating shifts,”)Work Arrangement:On-site Position Type:Non-UnionEmployment Status:Permanent Work Location & Environment:2789 Bristol Circle, Oakville, OnOfficeKey Accountabilities:In this role, you will:Communicate dispatch information to DriversMonitor and respond to driver’s satellite messagesParticipate in and support driver retention initiativesCollaborate with Customer Service and Planning teams to efficiently solve problemsMaintain fair and equitable distribution of workMonitor driver performance and milesCoach driver’s regarding customs, hazmat, hours of service, policy, regulations, satellitesDevelop solutions for any driver inquiriesUpdate customer websitesCommunicate & problem solve with customers as requiredOther duties as assigned QualificationsWe’re looking for someone who brings:Education & Experience:Minimum of 2 years truckload dispatch experience is an assetMust have a minimum of 1 year of Customer Service experienceSkills & Attributes:Working knowledge of the North American transportation industryACE and Customs/border crossing experience an assetKeen interest in building relationships with your team of drivers and co-workersDesire to urgently resolve incidents that occur while driver is delivering their loadExhibits a conscious effort to understand the causes instead of just the effects of a situationCompletes daily tasks autonomously, but enjoys collaborating with others when solving problemsMeticulous attention to detailGood communications skills (written and verbal)Intermediate level computer skills and proficient keyboarding How To Apply:If you’re interested in joining our team, please submit your application through our online career portal.
