Roll Off Driver

Fero Waste and Recycling Inc, a division of The Municipal Group of Companies, is a solid waste company that services New Brunswick and Nova Scotia and is currently seeking the knowledge and expertise of a Roll-Off Driver. Job Summary: The Roll-Off Driver is responsible for the hauling of customer waste from industrial, commercial, and institutional sites. The driver is responsible for performing assigned duties on container delivery and hauling of industrial roll-off routes. Primary Duties and Responsibilities: Satisfy customer needs for service. Ensure that service is completed in accordance with established policiesResponsible for daily pre and post-trip inspectionsComplete daily route as assigned by the Operations ManagerThe daily route consists of driving to customer sites, securing bins on the truck, emptying bins at the transfer station, returning the bin to the customer sitePerform driver check-ins at day’s end to ensure complete and accurate paperwork completionEnsure assigned routes are completed in a timely and safe mannerEnsure that all protocols are followed while dumping loads at municipal recycling/waste facilitiesRequired to climb up the ladder on the truck to tarp loadsRequired to be able to lift the Roll-Off hook and attach it to the bin, requires bending and ability to lift 25-50 poundsMay perform some other additional responsibilities as assigned by the Operations Manager. Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education, and Experience: 1-2 years of driving experience in a transportation sectorMust possess minimum Class 3 Drivers license with air brake endorsementExperience driving manual transmissionStrong communication and interpersonal skillsStrong customer focusProven ability to multi-task & ability to prioritize tasksKnowledge of the industry is considered an assetWillingness to pick up shifts and work additional hours as requiredClean drivers abstractWorking safely is a condition of employment.
