Maintain, PM and ensure robustness of production equipment. Ensure safety of all manufacturing equipment and facilities in the plantEducation, Experience and Skills:Provincial Certification Red Seal 309A or 442A requiredMust be able to read, write and speak English with good written and verbal communication skillsPost-Secondary Education- Electro-Mechanical Technician Diploma or equivalentMinimum 3-5 years of experience with PLC programming and industrial control systemStrong verbal and written communication skills in EnglishKnowledge of technical controls and strong troubleshooting skillsAbility to work independently and problem solveFamiliarity with Fanuc controlsProficient in Microsoft Office Able to communicate and work with fellow employees in a professional and respectful mannerMajor Responsibilities:Troubleshoot equipment consisting of weld controllers, robotics, and PLCTroubleshoot and repair equipment componentsDevelop and update HMI (Human-machine-interface) application for operator control panelsDesign electrical and electronic circuitsConducting systems simulations and on-site commissioning of control systemProgram PLC's, AC/DC drives and Servo DrivesTroubleshoot and resolve issues with existing PLC system to minimize down timeModify robot, PLC programs and machine screen interfacesEnsure preventative maintenance program are done based on assigned schedules Trouble shooting of production equipment and record keeping of development and troubleshootingWork independently and with minimum supervision Record and/or report product damage/nonconformities to your supervisor as requiredProvide assistance, guidance and advice to Apprentices as required Change welding consumables as neededResponsible for housekeeping, work area, parts and equipmentAdjust MIG and spot-welding schedules on weld controllersComplete routine paperwork as required Martinrea International Inc. is proud to provide employment accommodation during the recruitment process.
