Reports to:    Technical Service Manager The Regulatory Affairs Coordinator supports the compliance and regulatory needs of the Resins and Masterbatches product lines. This role ensures that all the raw materials, formulations and finished products meet applicable chemical, safety, and environmental regulations across provincial, federal and global markets. The coordinator works closely with Product Management, Quality, Development, Operations and Sales to provide accurate documentation, maintain regulatory databases, and support customer inquiries.  The primary responsibilities are as follows: Prepare, review, and maintain regulatory documents including SDS (Safety Data Sheets), TDS (Technical Data Sheets), CoAs, and Product Declarations of Compliance. Ensure compliance with global regulations such as REACH, RoHS, TSCA, FDA, CFIA, CEPA, and the major packaging / food- contact regulations. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes in chemical and plastics regulations affecting resins and masterbatches formulations. Maintain regulatory data for raw materials, additives, pigments, and polymer resins. Work with suppliers to obtain updated regulatory statements, food contact declarations, and safety documentation. Evaluate new materials for compliance risks and maintain documentation in internal databases. Work with Operations and Quality to ensure product labeling meets WHMIS 2015/GHS requirements. Response promptly to customer requests for regulatory information, compliance letters and product declarations. Provide guidance to Sales regarding compliance requirements for specific applications (e.g., food contact, medical, pharmaceutical, industrial). Track recurring customer requests and help develop standardized documentation. Communicate and coordinate with regulatory agencies, associations, and external partners. Background Required: Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, Environmental Science, Engineering, Regulatory Affairs, or related field. Experience in plastics, chemicals, resins, masterbatch, or manufacturing sector preferred. Knowledge of chemical safety and regulatory frameworks (REACH, TSCA, WHMIS, GHA, etc.). Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation. Excellent written and verbal communications skills. Ability to interpret chemical regulatory requirements. Proficiency with MS Office; experience with SDS authoring software or regulatory databases is an asset. Customer focused communication. Problem solving and analytical thinking.
