The successful applicant will be 90% office-based and involved in a broad range of projects with responsibilities as follows:Active participation in maintaining Montrose’s strong safety cultureAct as a leader in the workplace using Montrose Standard Operating Safety and Technical ProceduresManage a portfolio of simple to moderately complex project scopes, schedules and budgets and coordinate with internal project teams across disciplines to facilitate delivery of high-quality products to meet our client’s requirementsCommunicate with client’s program management team and project related stakeholders and subcontractors on technical and project management scopesPrepare technical correspondence, proposals, work plans, and cost estimates, including preparing sub-contractor requests for proposals and complete proposal evaluation to present sub-contractor with recommendations in-line with client procurement standardsPrepare technical reports with a primary focus on regulatory submissions (Record of Site Conditions, Comprehensive Site Reviews, Conceptual Site Models, Phase 1 ESA, Phase 2 ESA, RMP/RAP, Detailed Site Assessments, Remedial Summary Reports, and Remediation or Reclamation Certificate Applications)Function effectively within and contribute to the success of a collaborative, highly integrated teamProactively engage and participate in development opportunities to support your career growthMentor and develop junior and intermediate staff membersWhat We Are Looking ForA degree or technical diploma in environmental science, geology, hydrogeology or engineeringA minimum of six (6) years previous environmental consulting experience with a minimum of two (2) years of direct project management experienceEligibility for registration in or maintaining a good standing in a professional organization AIA, ASET, APEGA)Self-motivated, possess strong communication skills (verbal and written), and strong leadership skillsExperience with estimating costs and leading site assessment and remediation programs in the oil & gas industryExperience writing technical reports including ESAs, RMPs, RAPs, etc.Willingness to provide direction and mentorship to more junior and intermediate professionalsExperience with the Alberta Energy Regulator’s OneStop tool and working knowledge of provincial regulatory frameworks in Western Canada is also an assetExperience with Workday software would be an assetA valid and clean class 5 driver’s license with no restrictionsWhy Choose Montrose?At Montrose you will be part of an amazing community of collaborative people who live shared mission and principles and bring industry-leading technical expertise to their work every day. This is a permanent position with an hourly rate range of $35 - $53, starting pay is dependent on multiple factors, such as skills, experience and work location.
