Reporting to the Branch Manager and working closely with Outside Sales Representatives the Inside Sales Representative is responsible for providing sales support and maintaining positive customer relations while responding to problems and inquiries. Additionally, this successful candidate will work towards maintaining productive working relationships with internal and external customers and coordinating all orders from receipt to delivery.Key Responsibilities:Assist customers and Outside Sales Representatives with all inquiries regarding product, shipping, guidelines, warranty, etc.Involved with the blueprint takeoff process, and quoting & ordering processes through direction from the Branch Manager and information from Outside Sales RepresentativeDaily processing of incoming orders in a timely mannerPerforming daily order cross-checking. Preferably this would occur prior to the order being transferred but must be completed within 48 hours (2 working days) of order transfer.Coordinating the scheduling of orders with Production Control when customer requestsRun weekly open order report and follow up on open orders with customers.Handle order change and rush request from Dealers and Sales team in a timely mannerMaintenance of sales files in conjunction with the Outside Sales Representatives and Branch ManagerTake part in employee review process, including establishing yearly goals and objectives that align with the Branch, Corporate and personal goals and objectives.Continuous improvement in order management. Instill questions and review processes/practices and make recommendations accordinglyWorks with the credit department to ensure orders are released in a timely mannerAre the primary point of contact internally for the accounts they representPayment and cash processing of orders and ensure payments and account statements are in orderCommunicate with shipping departments and customers regarding shipping errors and discrepancies.Deal with any issues resulting from delivery, i.e. late shipment, shortages, damaged productsResponsible for servicing customers directly by telephone, email. or in personConfident in making sales calls if needed, and engaging directly with customersThis role has the potential to grow into an Outside Sales opportunity within the company.
