The main objective of this role is to enhance the program's communication efforts. This involves creating content, managing social media publications, designing internal documents, and assisting with in-person fundraising and crowdfunding initiatives through the A-Kasa Foundation.This is an excellent opportunity to utilize your communication and marketing skills to effect social change while experiencing the dynamic culture of MedellínAs a volunteer, you will:Content Creation: Develop engaging and informative content tailored to our audience across various platforms, ensuring that messaging is aligned with our organizational goals and resonates with our target demographics.Social Media Management: Oversee the strategic planning, execution, and optimization of our social media presence, including the creation of compelling posts and interaction with followers to build a robust online community.Design of Visibility Materials: Create visually appealing and effective materials that enhance our organization's visibility and communicate our mission clearly to different stakeholders, utilizing both digital and print formats.Face-to-Face and Digital Fundraising Campaigns: Plan and implement comprehensive fundraising campaigns that leverage both in-person interactions and digital outreach strategies, engaging potential donors through innovative and impactful initiatives to secure necessary funding for our programs.Essential Requirements:A university in social communication, marketing, fundraising, advertising, business administration, or a related field.Essential Background:Strong knowledge and experience in audiovisual communications, along with familiarity with design software and tools.Proven experience in creating and implementing fundraising campaignsExperience in managing and utilizing social media platformsWhat’s in it for YOU? Pre-placement Training and Briefing - Skills and Knowledge for Working in Development (SKWID) We commit to helping you prepare as best as possible for your placement. You will have a Volunteering Mobilization Advisor (VMA) to support you through the process and will participate in pre-placement training as part of your preparation. You will also have access to self-directed briefing documents, online training, and external resources through the volunteer portal. This training is designed to maximize your understanding of your placement and culture, help you identify and plan your learning, and help you stay safe and healthy during your placement.Protection from Sexual Exploitation and AbuseCuso International works with poor, vulnerable and marginalized people, mainly women and girls, to eradicate poverty and inequality.
