The program addresses the need for services closer to students by bridging a child’s mental health and school needs, through a coordinated approach by a mental health team and a teacher. CASA Classrooms are delivered in partnership with the Government of Alberta, community partners and school divisions.The Therapy Support Navigator will:Assist Mental Health Therapists/Physicians in screening and assessment interviews, in order to develop a treatment plan for mental health services.Participate in the case management of assigned caseload.Provide hands-on modelling and coaching to family members as determined and guided by the treatment plan.Coordinate and facilitate psycho-educational/treatment groups for patients and their families.Provide outreach support for youth in the community, in consultation with the CASA Classrooms and Transition teams.Develop and maintain a list of community resources and use these to refer patients and families to community agencies for additional mental health support.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in social work, arts (majoring in psychology), education or related field.Minimum of three years of practical experience in a children’s mental health treatment setting, with a particular emphasis on dual diagnosis, learning disability, developmental delay and executive dysfunction.Valid Class 5 drivers license and access to a vehicle.Conditions of EmploymentA satisfactory Criminal Records Check with Vulnerable Sector Search. This would be the financial responsibility of the successful candidate.Ability to pass and maintain Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) certification (training provided by CASA) or Supporting Individuals through Valued Attachments (SIVA) training, as well as physical ability to perform all interventions.Closing Date: Sept 11, 2025Please quote the following competition number in your application materials: 25-176
