Job DescriptionProject Manager (HR & AI Projects / Financial Services)Drive high-impact, strategic HR transformation in the insurance industry through a long-term hybrid opportunity based in Waterloo. This project leadership role focuses on cultural change, AI integration, and global stakeholder collaboration. Ideal for experienced project managers with strong business acumen and HR expertise.What is in it for you:• Salaried: $60-65 per hour.• Incorporated Business Rate: $70-75 per hour.• 19-month contract with the potential for permanent employment.• Full-time position: 37.50 hours per week.• Weekday schedule from 9 am to 5 pm.• Hybrid work: 3 office days, from Tuesday to Thursday.• Opportunity to work in a dynamic and professional environment.• Join a passionate and inclusive team of professionals.Responsibilities: • Oversee all aspects of strategic HR projects to ensure alignment with organizational goals.• Manage project timelines and deliverables to ensure timely execution.• Guide implementation and maintain initiatives within defined scopes and budgets.• Collaborate with HR and Communications teams across geographies and time zones.• Develop, plan, and monitor project scopes, budgets, resource needs, and work plans.• Identify risks and opportunities across multiple projects and provide mitigation strategies.• Produce and present reports that measure project outcomes and support data-driven decisions.• Improve processes through digitization, automation, and Human Centered Design (HCD) principles.• Ensure compliance with data privacy policies and global quality standards.• Support vendor coordination, procurement processes, and internal/external stakeholder alignment.• Foster an inclusive, collaborative, and change-oriented environment.• Perform additional project-related duties as required.What you will need to succeed:• Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field.• 5–7 years of progressive experience in HR, consulting, business strategy, or financial services.• Strong knowledge of project management and change management principles.• Exceptional time management, facilitation, and organizational skills.• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with experience using large and complex data sets.• Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 tools, especially PowerPoint, Excel, Teams (advanced features), and SmartSheet.• Familiarity with AI prompts and tools in a project management context.• Experience with Power BI and other project analytics platforms is an asset.• Strong presentation design and development skills.• Proven stakeholder engagement and senior leadership interaction experience.• Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with shifting priorities.• Self-starter with a high level of initiative and a strong work ethic.• Proven ability to write proposals and develop contracts.• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Why Recruit Action?Recruit Action (agency permit: AP-2000003) provides recruitment services through quality support and a personalized approach to job seekers and businesses.
