Hallmark is a Halifax based dental lab serving dental clinics and their patients in Atlantic Canada. We are looking to hire a responsible and experienced orthodontic technician to join our growing team. The advanced orthodontic technician is responsible for manufacturing and repairing all types of orthodontic appliances. The advanced orthodontic technician will work closely with our dentists and clinics in a co-treatment relationship. Our ideal candidate is someone with with 3-5 years previous experience in orthodontic work.To ensure success in this position, you should have extensive knowledge of all dental technologies and use your expertise while creating a safe and pleasing environment and high-quality products and services.Orthodontic Technician Duties & Responsibilities:Fit orthodontic bands to modelsBend wireSolder wireWeld wireMake vacuum form stents on Erkoform and BiostarTrim vacuum form stentsSet denture teeth for retainersAcrylic powder/liquid workWorking knowledge of all ortho appliancesOrthodontic Technician Requirements:Minimum 3-5 years experience working in orthodonticsExperience in complex cases is essentialIntense visual concentration when working on dental casesStrong communicator when working on dental casesExcellent attention to detailTeam playerClient focusedGood dexterity and hand-to-eye coordinationGreat organizational skillsBenefits:Health and dental insurance Optional pension program Employee assistance program (EAP) Health and wellness spending account (HSA) Hallmark is a family owned business with over 40 years in the community.
