Unit SummaryThe McMaster Children’s Hospital Autism Program is an ambulatory service for children and youth with an Autism Spectrum Disorder. These services have strong links to McMaster University’s Departments of Pediatrics and Psychiatry, McMaster Autism Research Team (MacART) and the Offord Centre for Child Studies.Position SummaryWorking within the McMaster Children’s Hospital Autism Program, the Clinical Coordinator will be responsible for developing, monitoring, and supervising the Applied Behavioural Analysis services. The Clinical Coordinator will also provide ABA services for parents/caregivers and children and youth with autism. Schedule Work HoursMonday to Friday (evenings and Saturdays may be included).This position is temporary until August 2027Qualifications1. Master’s Degree in Psychology or Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) preferred (Master’s Degree in a related field will be considered)2. Registered as a Registered Behaviour Analyst with the College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario 3. Extensive experience and training in ABA with children and youth4. Minimum (3) three to (5) five years recent experience with individuals with autism5. Minimum (3) three to (5) five years of relevant supervisory experience6. Demonstrated skills in leadership and training7. Experience in developing evaluation systems8. Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team9. Demonstrated problem-solving abilities10. Ability to be flexible in work schedule in order to meet client and staff needs11. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills12. Valid driver’s license and access to an adequately insured vehicle13. Must be able to obtain a valid Vulnerable Sector Screen (VSS)14.
