This position is responsible for promoting and enforcing safety policies and procedures in the field, conducting inspections, facilitating training, and serving as a resource for field personnel to mitigate risks and uphold compliance with all regulatory and company safety standards. This role is a blend of office and field environments with “on call” rotation.Duties and Responsibilities Monitor daily operations to ensure compliance with safety regulations and company protocolsConduct job site inspections, hazard assessments, and safety auditsLead and participate in safety meetings, orientations, and incident stand-downsInvestigate incidents and near-misses, prepare detailed reports, and recommend corrective actionsProvide on-site coaching and mentorship to team members on safe work practicesEnsure proper use of PPE and safe operation of equipment and vehiclesMaintain accurate records of inspections, training, and safety documentationWork closely with field supervisors, dispatch, and management to continuously improve safety outcomesStay up to date with NSC (federal) transportation and OH&S regulations and industry best practicesQualifications3+ years of transportation / oilfield safety experience, preferably in rig moving or heavy haulStrong knowledge of federal OH&S legislation and National Safety CodeMinimum – valid Class 5 Driver’s License (current or previous Class 1 or 3 a strong asset)Certification in transportation compliance / Occupational Health and Safety is an assetValid safety tickets including H2S Alive, First Aid/CPR, CSTS/PSTS, etc. is an assetExcellent communication, leadership, analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently in field environments with flexible hours and travelAdaptable to changing priorities and field assignmentsBenefits:Competitive wage that reflects your skill and experienceComprehensive group health benefits (with a health spending account)Company VehicleTool and Safety AllowanceComprehensive training and education programs, and professional advancementEmployee and Family Assistance programConsistent year-round workWork Life Balance Notes: Only those candidates who are selected for the interview will be contacted.At B&R Eckel’s, we are committed to continually improving our approach to building a diverse, inclusive, and value driven workplace.
