We are growing and currently looking for a full time Payroll Coordinator. Job Description Under general direction of the Payroll Manager, the Payroll Coordinator is responsible for processing payroll for Canadian Operations. In addition, the incumbent is responsible for performing the daily data entry associated with updating and maintaining the system in order to provide accurate payment to employees.  Responsibilities: Assist with bi-weekly payroll processing activities Process new hires, employee changes, terminations in UltiPro Ensure compliance and adheres to AFL’s policies relating to processing of wages and paid time Communicate with the Human Resources Department to ensure the integrity of the payroll data including data related to new hires, terminations, transfers and rate changes Provide services to Canadian employees regarding concerns with payroll as well as research and troubleshoot all inquires Maintain control of AFL payroll files Filing and managing all payroll activities Provide support to the Payroll Manager with projects Must be an example of good judgment, strict confidentiality, and adherence to company policies and procedures Enhancing Organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing requests and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishment Performs other related duties as required Adhere to and promote the environmental, health & safety policies of AFL Personal Qualities: Leadership – ability to direct others Flexible – open to change & new information and rapidly adapts to changing conditions or unexpected obstacles Detail oriented – excellent attention to detail with the ability to follow through on assigned tasks Independent - ability to work well under limited supervision Analytical Thinking/Problem Solving - capable of complex reasoning analysis Results focused – driven to achieve Interpersonal skills – able to collaborate on projects, maintain effective relationships, and communicate clearly at all levels of the business Adaptability - capable of working in a fast-paced environment, adapt to various situations, and prioritize multiple work assignments simultaneously Team Player skills - Possess strong commitment to team environment dynamics with the ability to contribute expertise and follow leadership directives at appropriate times Qualifications: At least 2–3-year payroll experience Working knowledge of payroll practices and (Federal) labour regulations & compliance The ability to deal with confidential and sensitive information in a diplomatic and tactful manner Proficient in MS Office applications including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Visio Proficient in Payroll software Working Conditions: Normal office environment with Hybrid Schedule General hours of Monday through Friday 8:00am to 4:30pm.
