Job Title: Senior Backend Developer Location: Toronto, Ontario Duration: 06 Months Job Description: We are seeking a Senior Backend Developer with extensive experience in Java and Spring Framework to join our team in Toronto. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining distributed cloud applications and ensuring high-quality software delivery. Required Skills & Qualifications 8 years of experience with Java 8 and Spring Framework (Spring Boot) 2 years of experience developing distributed cloud applications (Pivotal Cloud Foundry, OpenShift, Docker) Hands-on experience with RESTful API and interface specifications (Swagger, RAML, SOAP) Experience with DevOps pipelines (Git, Maven, Jenkins), continuous integration delivery, and automated testing Experience with security gateways and protocols (JWT, Oauth2.0, SSL Certificates) Experience with professional software engineering practices across the full software development life cycle Strong knowledge of code merging, branching methodologies using Git, and code release processes Working knowledge of web-based application architectures and frameworks (including Angular or AngularJS) Experience supporting production-level software (Splunk, Dynatrace) Strong skills in Java, IBM WebSphere Application Server (WAS), and C programming Preferred Skills & Qualifications Exposure to Python and Big Data Technologies (Apache Spark with Scala) Able to learn new programming languages quickly and efficiently Ability to seek improvements in all aspects of the development process General computing knowledge and strong problem-solving abilities Day-to-Day Responsibilities Design and develop high-quality backend solutions for cloud applications Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs Help maintain code quality, organization, and automation For immediate consideration please click APPLY to begin the screening process with Alex.
