Maintain, PM and ensure robustness of production equipment. Ensure safety of all manufacturing equipment and facilities in the plant Required Education and Experience:Electrical certificate required 3 shift rotation required; rotating every 2 weeks Thorough knowledge of blue print reading and interpretationPossess good mathematical and mechanical aptitudePLC programming /training a definite assetGood knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics and PLCEssential Functions:Preventative maintenance of all production equipmentPlan, layout, install and repair complex wiring circuits and distribution systems to the applicable codesInstall and maintain complex electrical and electronic components of varied equipmentResponsible for housekeeping, work area, parts and equipmentComplete routine paperwork as requiredAddress safety issuesDiagnose and remedy all electrical troubles and repair and replace all electrical apparatusOccasionally performs work in other tradeHas required experience to use to use electrical tools, measuring and testing equipmentWork from complex wiring drawings, code books and similar documentsWork independently and with minimum supervisionHas knowledge of and repairs CNC and PLC controlsAbility to Write programs on various PLC (OMRON, ALLEN BRADELY, SIEMONS)Programming of PLC and other relate equipmentAny other related duties as assigned by immediate supervisorAble to start, stop and operate all shop equipmentHas a detailed knowledge of applied electrical practices, techniques and the theory and operation of electrical and electronic equipment and controlsWork on ladders, lifts and scaffolds Maybe required to work overtime, weekends or alternate shiftsProvide assistance, guidance and advice to Apprentices as requiredLiaise with internal departments for design input, fabrication and modifications to equipmentEnsure timely completion of repairs, fixtures etc. as required so production is not interruptedWork closely with Supervisor to ensure plant, machines and equipment are capable of producing production requirementsAssist in the validation of new / used equipment transferred to plantEnsure preventative maintenance program are done based on assigned schedulesTrouble shooting of production equipment and record keeping of development and troubleshootingFollow MCPC when working on production concerns, complete paperwork to close protocolsFollow all lock out/tag out procedures as requiredResponsible to maintain good housekeeping on work area at all timesFollow company policies on Health, Safety & Environment and PPE requirementsContribute to the continuous improvement initiatives on all aspect of the jobWork from drawings, verbal instructions or sketchesAbide by all Company polices including, but not limited to the following: Health and Safety, Quality and Environmental Systems, Human Resources policies, and the Martinrea Employee Handbook Work Environment:Plant floor (PPE required) Physical Demands:Constant communication with employees, support departments and managementOvertime as requiredPhysically capable of heavy lifting, not afraid of heights scissor lift Health and Safety:Must work in accordance with Health and Safety regulations, Company and plant rules, policies and proceduresMust use or wear Personal Protective Equipment and certain clothing as required by the Company Other Duties: This job description is not designed to contain a comprehensive list of duties and responsibilities required for this job.
