We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Contract Warehouse Specialist to join our distribution team for a crucial contract spanning the end of 2025 and the beginning of 2026. This role is a key contributor to our operations, responsible for executing diverse warehouse tasks and ensuring the safe, efficient movement of inventory.We require demonstrable expertise in the safe operation of:Sit-down Counterbalance ForkliftOrder PickerHigh LiftWorking Conditions & Commitment:Contract Duration: This is a temporary, full-time position with mandatory coverage during the specified timeframe (excluding the holiday closure).Overtime: Must be willing to work voluntary overtime on evenings and some Saturdays when required by business needs.PPE: The company will provide all necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), except for CSA-approved safety shoes, which are required and must be supplied by the successful candidate.AdvantagesTransit Accessible- Bus stop 4 min walk from work location. Wage : $21/hour +4% vacation pay Term:Approximately December 1, 2025, through April/May 2026Hours:Full-time, 40 hours per weekOvertime:Potential for voluntary overtime on evenings and some SaturdaysResponsibilitiesOrder Fulfillment: Accurately pick, pack, and prepare customer orders for shipment.Shipping & Receiving: Process incoming and outgoing shipments, including verifying contents against documentation and loading/unloading trucks.Material Handling: Safely operate material handling equipment, including a sit-down counterbalance forklift, order picker, and high lift.Inventory Management: Assist with cycle counts, inventory organization, and maintaining the accuracy of stock locations.Warehouse Organization: Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures, especially while operating machinery.QualificationsRequired Experience and Skills:Proven previous experience working in a fast-paced distribution or warehouse environment is mandatory.Demonstrable expertise in the safe operation of:Sit-down Counterbalance ForkliftOrder PickerHigh LiftStrong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in order fulfillment and inventory tasks.Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.Physical ability to lift, move, and handle products as required in a warehouse setting.Beneficial Experience:Any experience utilizing SAP or similar Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) is considered a significant asset.SummaryTo apply or learn more, please contact Toni directly at:toni.ryder@randstad.caRandstad Canada is committed to fostering a workforce reflective of all peoples of Canada.
