Position Information Position Title Early Childhood Educator Posting Type Permanent End Date (if applicable) Classification Title FT Support Staff G Pay Band G Min Salary $34.60 Max Salary $39.93 Position Summary The Early Childhood Educator will plan, implement and evaluate a quality program for children and their families or caregivers. Incumbent must have a working understanding of the Child Care and Early Years Act and the Centre Program Statement, Policies and Procedures. A close working relationship with faculty will be maintained to ensure a consistent learning environment for students. Administrative duties to assist the Supervisor with the management of the Centre are assigned. Location/Campus Thunder Bay Campus Education Minimum level of formal education required for the position 2 year diploma or equivalent education Specific course(s), certification, qualification, formal training or accreditation required for the position Additional requirements obtained by course(s) of a total of 100 hours or less Additional Requirements First Aid and CPR certificate course Requirement to be a registered with the College of Early Childhood Educators Field(s) of Study Early Childhood Education Experience Typical number of years of experience, in addition to the necessary education level, required to perform the responsibilities of the position Minimum of one (1) year Type of Experience Experience in Early Childhood setting with a variety of ages and developmental abilities.
