We believe in promoting from within, respecting people and their differences, providing high quality service and always having fun If you think you have what it takes to join our team, we want to meet you Job Skills / Requirements Position Details: Position: Casual Patient Watch Security Guard Site: Various Health Care Sites within St. John'sAveraging Agreement: Overtime as per CBA Hours:  Hours may vary site to site (example Days, Nights, Rotating Shifts) Payrate: $ 19.00/hour Key responsibilities: Provide continuous observation of assigned patients to ensure safety and prevent self-harm or injury. Monitor and report any unusual behavior, incidents, or safety concerns to clinical and security staff. Maintain a respectful and non-invasive presence while observing patients. Work closely with healthcare professionals, following facility protocols and directions. De-escalate situations calmly and appropriately using non-violent crisis intervention techniques. Document observations and incidents accurately and in a timely manner. Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations at all times. Prerequisites: Clean Letter of Conduct/VSC Valid First Aid & CPR Level C from CSA Approved provider. Tuberculosis (TB) Screening: All healthcare workers must undergo assessment for tuberculosis.Vaccination Documentation: Proof of completion of the full series of childhood/primary vaccinations is required.Tdap Vaccine: One dose of Tetanus, Diphtheria, and Acellular Pertussis (Tdap) vaccine is required upon reaching 18 years of age.Booster Requirement: A booster dose of tetanus toxoid-reduced diphtheria toxoid (Tdap) is required every 10 yearsEnglish (oral and written) fluency is a must Previous experience in security or a related field preferred. Strong interpersonal and conflict-resolution skills. Ability to stay alert and attentive for extended periods. Ability to work in high-stress environments and remain composed under pressure. Ability to stand or sit for long periods and respond quickly in emergency situations. Legally authorized to work in CanadaMust be able to provide certifications in Management of Aggressive Behaviour (MOAB)Applicants lacking these certification can opt into Paladin's MOAB certification program prior to their onboarding training to ensure they meet the requirements of the positionPlease be aware: The MOAB certification is not paid as it is a pre-requisite, however Paladin will cover all of the costs of the certification with a 6 month commitment to the position/availabilityWhy choose Paladin?Opportunities for training and professional development.Competitive wage and benefits package.Code of Conduct reimbursementPaid vacation & sick daysGet paid your way with flexible daily pay optionsWork today, get paid today—daily pay available.“Enjoy financial flexibility with on-demand, daily pay.”“Your paycheck, on your schedule—daily pay offered Education Requirements (All) High School Diploma Certification Requirements (All) Standard First Aid, CPR Level C
