Kerr Controls Ltd. (Kerr) is a leading distributor of Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, Refrigeration Equipment, and Supplies. We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Product Manager to join our team. This position can be based at any of our locations in Atlantic Canada.The Product Manager is responsible for overseeing the lifecycle, strategy, and performance of assigned HVAC/R product lines within our wholesale distribution network. This role combines technical product knowledge, business acumen, and vendor relationship management to ensure Kerr’s product offerings are competitively positioned, well-supported, and aligned with market needs and company objectives. Working closely with Sales, Purchasing, Marketing, and Vendor Partners, the Product Manager drives product awareness, supports field teams and customers, and contributes to profitable growth through strategic product planning, pricing, inventory coordination, and market intelligence. Responsibilities: Manage the performance, profitability, and strategic direction of assigned product lines. Serve as a key point of contact for manufacturer and vendor partners. Support purchasing with forecasting, inventory planning, and product availability. Develop and execute product launches, promotions, and growth initiatives. Provide product training, technical support, and sales tools to inside/outside sales teams and dealers. Collaborate with Marketing to develop product-focused content, programs, and campaigns. Conduct competitive analysis and monitor market trends, pricing, and emerging technologies. Evaluate product performance metrics and provide data-driven recommendations. Participate in vendor negotiations, program agreements, and rebate management. Support sales teams in identifying opportunities and resolving product issues or escalations. Assist with trade shows, events, and product demonstrations. Visit branches and dealers to gather field data and strengthen product strategies. What you bring to the team: 5+ years of experience in HVAC/R, wholesale distribution, or technical product management. Strong understanding of HVAC/R systems, technologies, and competitive landscape. Post-secondary education in Engineering, Business, or a related field (or equivalent industry experience). Experience supporting or managing vendor relationships and product programs. Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, product databases, and CRM systems. Strong problem-solving ability with a customer-service mindset and attention to detail.
